I have been working on a side project behind the scenes recently and am finally able to reveal what it is. I am currently developing a “sequel” to the Adventure of Link via GML. Some of you may have known about this project long ago, but I have recently picked it back up and started from scratch. And today I can bring you five screenshots and a few details about the game itself.
- The storyline is not yet detailed out yet, other than it follows the events of ‘The Adventure of Link’.
- It uses remixed sprites/tiles from various official Zelda titles.
- It features remixed music from various official Zelda titles.
- The map will match up with Northern Hyrule.
- Towns such as New/Old Kasuto, Saria and others will also be present.
- Familiar items and spells will be present.
- And a demo will be out soon!
I’ve tried the preliminary version you released, and so far so good. I look forward to your updates to this game… you can never have enough 2D Zelda games… and an AoL sequel to boot!
