Ocarina of Time fans, you may want to sit down for this (as if you’d be standing anyway). The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is no longer the best reviewed game of all time according to GameRankings.com.

WAIT, hold on. The good news is, Super Mario Galaxy 2 is its replacement. I have to tell you, I’ve played and beaten Super Mario Galaxy 2, and it’s an incredible game. But is it worthy of besting Ocarina of Time?
No, not really. At least not in my opinion. And right now Ocarina of Time is still at the top on Metacritic, which is the site most people in the know prefer to use. Not saying they’re better, but it’s more popular by far.
As you probably know by now, Ocarina of Time is being remade for the Nintendo 3DS in glorious 3D (without the need for special glasses). In addition, improvements to the gameplay have been confirmed by Nintendo, like a difficulty decease to the dreaded Water Temple. It’s currently slated for release on launch day for the 3DS (so sometime before March 31st, 2011), so who knows if Ocarina of Time can reclaim its spot as the “number one game” of all time.
