Rumor: Legend of Zelda – Prophet of Light

Legend of Zelda Wii Prophet of LightWith E3 closing in real fast, it’s inevitable that we see a load of rumors concerning the next Legend of Zelda title (Zelda Wii). This time around a possible title for the next Zelda has been supposedly leaked and is given the name The Legend of Zelda: The Prophet of Light. I will not say this is legit in anyway as of yet, especially seeing how if you Google this title it only has one source… Zelda Informer. However, this site has been known for legit news in the past and the name can fit in my opinion. What are your thoughts on the matter?

Also, it appears there are other rumors going around that the game will be entitled Legend of Zelda: The Fall of Hyrule. These rumors originated from this supposed leaked E3 2010 lineup sheet.

    If this is indeed the title, let’s try and think what it could be symbolizing…

    It could have something to do with the following elements/characters/objects.

    The Triforce, the Light Force, Temple of Light, Sage of Light, Rauru, Sahasrahla, The Golden Land, Sacred Realm, Old Man.

    I like “The Fall of Hyrule” title a lot. It gives me hope for a more mature and deep story game who may suit better for fans like me who played zelda from the beginning and as grow older. : )

    IT wouldnt surprise me if Prophet of Light is the name considering it’s the sequel of Twilight Princess. We got a taste of the “darkness” of Hyrule’s realms, now what makes the light so important. Probably will tie in with those guardian guys too.

    I frequent Zelda D and I must admit they (mostly Mases) have an issue with giving appropriate credit.

    Anyway, I’m hoping it’s neither of these names, but Prophet of Light indeed sounds the more likely of the two. They could think up a more original title than that though.

    Let me clarify something. Zelda Wii is NOT the sequel to Twilight Princess. People got that idea by the similar artwork, but we should all know by now that artwork has nothing to do with the storyline. Numerous Zelda developers (including Miyamoto) have already stated that Zelda Wii is not a sequel to TP and in fact takes place in a whole new era and is a brand new Link, again.

    If anything A Link to the Past is a sequel to Twilight Princess.

    And also the fact it is the second Zelda game on the Wii, but that does not mean it is a sequel to TP. E3 is 10 days away, so I am sure we will get some if not most of our questions answered then anyways.
