Here is another interesting note from the recent Iwata Asks that mentions that the Zelda Skyward Sword demo that was playable at last years E3 was only an operability field to test the motion plus controls for the game. With that being said it is possible we will see a brand new Skyward Sword at E3 2011. I would expect the content we see to be in the final stages of development. Read that part of the interview below (which actually comes from the same portion of the interview we just reported of the confirmation of orchestrated music, but this point was also worth mentioning in a separate post).
Yokota: Yes. That’s about the time. At the E3 last year, when we were going to exhibit The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for the first time, we talked about using orchestral music. But (Shigeru) Miyamoto-san said it wasn’t necessary.
Iwata: We were going to have attendees of last year’s E3 try out the new game’s operability, so he said orchestral music wasn’t necessary right away.
Yokota: Right. Then, toward the end of summer break, they finally decided to put in orchestral music and I joined the development team.
