Tony Janning (Neil aka Link) updated his Facebook page confirming the third and final season of The Legend of Neil will premiere July 24th at the San Diego Comic Con. I imagine it’ll release online around the same time as well.

Tony Janning It’s official! Season 3 of The Legend of Neil will premiere at Comic Con in San Diego. This July. 24th. 7:30pm. A lot of the cast and crew should be there. Will be fun. Yes. It. Will.

Filming for the third and final season of Legend of Neil wrapped sometime back in early May and now Atom TV has announced that it’ll premiere sometime this summer. It was also said that the third season will contain 7 episodes. Read the excerpt below.

“Legend of Neil – Season 3”: (7 episodes, debuts summer 2010) – The Streamy Award-nominated and hit Atom.com series returns for its third and final season. Season 3 follows Neil (aka Link), as he navigates through the latter stages of the classic video game “Legend of Zelda™” in an attempt to save the princess. Created by Sandeep Parikh and staring Tony Janning, Mike Rose, Scott Chernoff and Felicia Day (“Red,” “The Guild”).

The official Neil facebook page has been updated informing everyone that they have completed filming the third season of the Legend of Neil. No news yet on when or if any teasers will be posted, but either way expect season three to arrive sometime this summer, kill Link!

WE FINISHED SHOOTING!!!! day 14 was awesome fun especially since we had beer waiting for us at the finish line. sweet delicious beer. my cast and crew are amazing and drank me under the table. now i sleep for the entire day. monday may 3rd 2010 will not exist for me.

The official Legend of Neil facebook page has been updating the latest status of development for season three and have also hinted at a release date recently. They plan on releasing the third season sometime this summer or possibly this fall, but pre-winter for sure. Here’s an excerpt :

Vague release date: This summer-ish. Maybe fall? Definitely this year. Pre-winter for sure… Day 10 & 11 kicked my ass and also kicked ass. Not nearly as easy as Day 9. Today’s game ball has to go to the makeup & art dept, who outdid themselves today. They created some new characters that surpassed my wildest expe…ctations. You’re going to freak.
